At Summer Dawn

The Onion Crop:
As it happens every year just at the time the crop of wheat is cut and thrashed on several farms around our own, Onion planted in December last was pulled out and removed to the thatched roof 'Hut' outdoors for drying. The entire yield which could be termed as bumper would be kept there until it had fully dried before packing in sacks and transporting to the family and friends living far and wide but of course not to Toronto, Canada, where our youngest son Taha and his family (Tahas) currently live!

Planting of Portulaca Saplings:
The summer flowering Portulaca saplings were planted in the front roundabout and flower beds on both sides of entrance to the house.

The Weather:
The entire month of May as it has now come to an end was quite pleasant with frequent rains and often more than usual cooler nights.

  2. As we continue to enjoy the bounties of farm..ammi and abbu actually live therre. They have made themselves accustomed to unbearable heat, frequent loadshedding and intense cold. And as taha said..it was very difficult for us to accept this decision of living at such a far away place alone.but with abbus love for nature and ammis support (with a smiling face) made it worth it
